Right, so it's time I updated this. New year, new start, eh? And all that pish. I'm 26, male, single, and somewhat bored of being single! Read on!

I REALLY hate writing these damn summary things, as I'm not sure how to describe myself without selling myself short (which I do a lot of) or making myself sound like a pretentious asshole!

OK, so here goes...

I'm a laid-back, horse-riding, film-loving, creative writing dude. I like having a good laugh (quite often at my own expense!) and doing occasionally random things.

People say I'm a bit too nice at times, but guaranteed I'll give someone the sharp side of my tongue should they be foolish enough to piss me off! FEEL MY WRATH!!! Or something...

Anyway, as you can no doubt tell from my photos (if you've been brave enough to look!) I'm a keen horseman, and help out with the Riding for the Disabled at weekends. Other than that, I like to go for hacks and lessons when money allows! In fact, in about....9 weeks time, I'm due to head down to the Lake District to go ride the Cumbrian Heavy Horses - should be fun!!

Music-wise, a bit of everything. See the list of the "main ones" below, but I'll give anything a bash normally. I was pretty much ostracised in my high school years 'cos I had a preference for classical music rather than Metallica (though I managed to kick some ass later on with my appreciation for Motorhead and Iron Maiden! Metallica - PAH!!)

Movies - again, the list of my favourites is below. I'm a sucker for action/explosions/boobs/guns kinds of movies (so yes, I like Michael Bay! lol), but also like a bit of horror (not the modern stuff, though. It's not scary - it's just CRAP!), and a decent comedy (step forward Mr Kevin Smith!). I'm also a recent convert to fantasy films such as Krull, Willow and others (as hokey as Krull is, I do really enjoy it, especially the Fire Mares sequence. And yes, I have James Horner's awesome soundtrack!).

I'm also a big fan of classic aircraft, but I promise I don't bore people with the endless debate on what was the better fighter-plane, the Spitfire or the Me109!

I like to think that I don't take myself too seriously, I'm quite down to earth, but I can be a day-dreamer at times. I am sociable, but I'm also happy in my own company. I'm reasonably organised, in my own haphazard way. I have quite a dark sense of humour at times.
I used to be flirty, but I feel like I'm quite out of practice... I'm hoping being on here will help!
I like partying with my friends, going to gigs- preferably small venues. I also like curling up with a book or in front of the TV.

I've lived in Edinburgh for about a year now (not counting a few months out of the country), so I guess I'm still new to the place. I have no concept of what New Town looks like or anything like that. Which I guess is appalling? I grew up in Hong Kong, which probably makes me seem more interesting than I actually am. I'm half Chinese but my Chinese is terrible. I'm half English but I've never lived in England. I laugh so easily, at practically everything people say, so I tend to think people are funnier than they actually are. Because of this people also tend to think I'm a lot cuter than I am. I have an American accent, though I don't know why. I would very much like to get rid of it because people are always surprised when I tell them where I'm from. I'm kind of short. Or I have very tall friends, I'd like the think it's the latter, but I'm probably just short. As much as I would like to go home (Hong Kong) for Christmas, I can't afford to, so it's going to be a homesick holiday. I love comas and so tend to overuse them.

I'm a Canadian born and raised, my family is Italian(and yes I know I don't look the slightest bit Italian) I've lived all over Ontario before finally settling in Toronto.

Really I'm a nerd at heart, but I've recently become fascinated with kickboxing and mixed martial arts, and spend a lot of my free time training. When I'm not training you'll probably find me nerding it up with a good RPG or my trusty laptop. Reading is another passion of mine and I enjoy graphic novels just as much as any other books. In the winter(and the southern hemisphere I guess) I try to go skiing as often as I can.

I live in Edinburgh, work in IT close to the city. I used to work in Texas for a .com, which was interesting, cool to work with some really smart people, but it drove me nuts so I quit and came home. I still have several good friends out there though, and visit when I can.

I like chilling out and going to the pub (my local is one of the best in the city). When I am not at work, or the gym, I am at the pub with friends. If I am not at the pub I am watching films, or pottering about in the garden or listening to music. I have a small collection of whisky, CD's, DVD's and computers.

I'm a member of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, which is great - I like relaxing with friends in the society venues - a bite of lunch, and a wee dram. It's all very civilised.

Self summary!! Not put much thought in to this and on the whole too lazy to put that much effort into it. Probably not the right attitude as I suspect the more you write, the greater the chances are of someone getting on touch. On the other hand all the extra unsubstantiated waffle might just put people off, or so I justify my meagre attempt at self summarising.

Anyhow, in brief I'm one of those annoying supper content, fit, not unattractive and healthy types. Occasionally though I like to indulge in a bit of chaos and this normally means an affair or two. Sorry about the lack of photo but I'm shy. I also have a whole array of interests, likes/dislikes, hobbies, favourite destinations, etc, etc but not sure that their that relevant, hence I shall remain shallow on this and just say I like women, so please get in touch.

What else is there to say, a description is probably not that helpful other than to say that I look considerably younger than I am, got a full coverage of hair, stamina of a 25 year old, wit and intellect.

Who's to say you can't meet some of your best friends across a computer screen?
I love writing but somehow I still find it incredibly frustrating to write about myself on sites like this. You basically have to get a person's attention in the first couple of sentences, by being witty, charming and funny, but not to the extent that you end up getting messages from people who are completely inappropriate.
Let's see what I can say... I've lived in 5 different countries, I speak three languages fluently, one language rather badly (German - though I've been told my French accent in it is charming).
I relish both intellectual and physical activities and am happiest when I devote much time to both. I love being in situations in which people take pleasure in engaging or being engaged by others and love imparting knowledge, as well as learning from others.
I might scare lots of people away here but seriously if you're not sure when to use your and when to use you're, then don't bother trying with me. If your idea of witty conversation is to talk about the latest soap, then we're unlikely to get on either...
